A new gondola

From December 2025, Villaroger will be home to a new, modern and fast gondola to replace the Replat and Plan des Violettes chairlifts.

With its 40 cabins with 10-seats and external ski racks, this lift readdresses comfort and efficiency: linking Replat (1200 m) to the summit of Plan des Violettes (2119m) in just 6 minutes 45, cutting the ascent time by almost 10 minutes for an investment of 19 million euros.

In keeping with the new departure station , Villaroger will also be home to its new sales point, providing improved access between the village and the summits.

⚠️To open next winter, the slopes from the summit of Plan des Violettes to Villaroger will close on the evening of Sunday 30 March 2025.

The lifeline

The Hauts de Villaroger Nature Reserve, a unique ecological jewel, inspired the design of the new gondola lift. The ‘lifeline’ symbolises the interconnectedness of Alpine flora and fauna. Continuous lines, forming plants, animals and insects, decorate the cabins, reminding us that each element is part of a whole. It is also a visual metaphor for the fragile balance of nature, an invitation to preserve it.

Focus on environmental impact

Concrete measures have been put in place, such as the reforestation of more than 3,000 trees, the creation of a wetland to preserve local biodiversity, and the abandonment of tracks to reduce the impact on natural environments. All of these measures will be studied by a specialist consultancy firm, which will monitor developments closely to ensure that species are preserved. In addition, specific facilities for the Black Grouse have been included to develop their living and breeding areas.
