La Montagne en partage

Gain some altitude and discover what brings the mountains to life in a whole new way

On August 5th, at Col de la Chal, the Les Arcs / Peisey-Vallandry Mountain Resort invites you to a day of encounters and discoveries centered on the mountains and the people who bring them to life. Together with its partners, ADS will be sharing initiatives that it has undertaken to support the local area through activities, discussions, and workshops focused on biodiversity, pastoral farming, wildlife, flora, landscapes, and hydroelectric power. Throughout the day, come and meet dedicated local stakeholders and discover the inner workings of a living, fragile, and shared mountain environment.

Don’t miss:

  • A Ferris wheel for the little ones, powered by adults, to reach even greater heights!

  • A photography exhibition by Une Bouteille à la Mer

  • Litter-picking walks with Mountain Riders to help clean up the trails

  • Talks on local flora and fauna with the National Forestry Office and the Vanoise National Park

  • Landscape interpretation sessions with Marge Sauvage and glaciologist Jean-Baptiste Bosson

  • An introduction to alpine pastoral farming with GAEC Alpin

  • An introduction to palaeontology with Pierre Canova

  • Meeting with a beekeeper

  • Visit to a chair lift

  • At 4 pm, a jazz concert in partnership with the Les Arcs Music Festival to round off the day

A unique opportunity to discover the mountains as a living, fragile and shared environment, and to meet the people who work every day to preserve them and secure their future.
